Tobias Gilmore and his lovely but ditzy wife Marsha have been extremely lucky in business and love. But lately Tobias works 24/7, and Marsha sits at home reading murder mysteries and wondering why they are growing apart. Is it his age, his work, another woman?! March 14 - Lúnasa - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. Lúnasa's ingenious application of rhythm and their clear mastery of it has made them the single most influential and innovative band performing irish instrumental music today. in their now decade-plus career, the band has established deeper precedent in jazz and progressive bluegrass, making them entirely unique in celtic circles. They put the ancient soul of traditional instrumental music to a new rhythmic framework. The band is comprised of seán smyth on fiddles and whistles, keven crawford on flutes and whistles, Trevor Hutchinson on stand-up bass, cillian Vallely on Uilleann pipes and whistles, and Paul Meehan on guitar and banjo.

March 22 - May 26 - The Dixie Swim Club - Rainbow Dinner Theatre, Route 30 East, Box 56, Paradise, PA 17562, 800-292-4301. Gentlemen, it's time you find out what women talk about when they get together. The former members of a girl's college swim team gather at the same beach house once every year. As they reminisce and catch up on their lives, they'll leave you laughing so hard you'll gasp for air! We see them grow older and change, yet sometimes never change. It is a funny, beautiful story of friendship that no one should miss.

March 31 - 4th Annual Garden Spot Village Marathon - Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557, 717-355-6000. Marathoners, relay teams and walkers are invited to participate 26.2-mile USA Track & Field (USATF) - certified, Boston Marathon qualifier course; 13.1-mile half-marathon also available. Race packs available at 6:30 a.m. Pre-race pasta dinner. Participants have access to showers, pool and hot tub post race. Spectators welcome.

April 1 - Curtis Student Recital - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. One of the world's leading music conservatories, The curtis institute of Music in Philadelphia, PA, trains exceptionally gifted young musicians for careers as performing artists on the highest professional level. experience performances by the stars of tomorrow as they perform solo and chamber music in these pre-graduation recitals.

April 5 - Anoushka Shankar - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. One of the leading figures in world music today, sitar player and composer Anoushka shankar has deep roots in indian classical music. Beginning at the age of nine, she studied sitar exclusively with her father, the legendary ravi shankar. shankar breaks new ground as she brings together the passionate and diverse music of spain with the vibrant, ancient forms of the indian classical tradition. Tracing the musical commonalities of the Gypsies' journey from their homeland in rajasthan passing through iran, iraq and Armenia and finally settling in spain, Shankar re-forges the link, separated by a thousand years, between spanish and Indian music. Using sitar, tabla, bansuri flute, percussion, spanish guitar and voice, musical pioneer shankar employs her stunning virtuosity to create a powerful and mesmerizing collection of new pieces that show yet again an artist at the very top of her game.

April 11 - Simone Dinnerstein - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. New York-based pianist simone Dinnerstein has been praised by Time magazine for her "arresting freshness and subtlety". she gained international recognition due to the remarkable success of her recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations. Her album, Bach: A Strange Beauty, was released in January 2011 and immediately earned the No. 1 spot on the Billboard classical chart and made the Billboard Top 200 top selling albums in all genres. A graduate of The Julliard school, Dinnerstein was a winner of the Astral Artist National Auditions. Dinnerstein's program will include Bach's Partita's No. 1 and No. 2, chopin's Nocture No. 8, and schubert's Four Impromptus.

April 21 - Paquito D'Rivera Quarte - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. Paquito D'rivera is celebrated for both his artistry in Latin jazz and his achievements as a classical composer. The winner of nine Grammy awards, he was the first artist to win Latin Grammys in both classical and Latin Jazz categories. Over the course of his career, he has recorded more than 30 solo albums. He served as a founding member of the United Nations Orchestra in 1988, organized by Dizzy Gillespie. In 1991, D'rivera was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from Carnegie Hall. He has received the international Association for Jazz education President's Award, and a Doctorate Honoris causa in Music from the University of Pennsylvania.

April 22 - Paul Fleckenstein - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. Since 1993, Paul Fleckenstein has served as Organist and Director of Music at Westminster church in Wilmington, De.

April 26 - Eroica Trio - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. The Grammy-nominated eroica Trio is considered one of the most sought-after trios in the world. The three young women who comprise the ensemble electrify audiences whether playing the great standards of piano trio repertoire or daring contemporary works. The trio, comprised of erika Nickrenz on piano, susie Park on violin, and sara sant'Ambrogio on cello, won the prestigious Naumburg Award. The award resulted in a highly successful debut at Lincoln center and a tour of the United states, europe, and Asia. Their eight recordings have garnered multiple Grammy nominations. Their program will include pieces from Jean-Baptiste Loeillet, John ireland, Dmitri shostakovich, and ohannes Brahms.

May 6 - The Delius Society presents Michael Stairs - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. Michal stairs is the Organist for the Philadelphia Orchestra and has held the Buck chair in Music at The Haverford school in Haverford, PA.

May 11 - Peter Richard Conte - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. Organist Peter richard conte presents an innovative style that mixes recognizable audience-favorite pieces so they can be enjoyed by both organ buffs and general audiences. He was appointed Grand court Organist of the world-famous Wanamaker Organ at the Macy's Philadelphia department store in 1989 and is only the fourth person to hold that title since the organ was first played in 1911. conte has been featured several times on National Public radio and on ABc's Good Morning America and World News Tonight. He performs extensively throughout the United states and canada. highlights of conte's program will include transcriptions of Paul Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Leonard Bernstein'sOverture to Candide

Enjoy live performances, then climb to the top of the Chimes Tower and meet the carillonneur. All concerts are free with Gardens admission.
